Rema wows music lovers at all-star game
It
was crazy inside the gigantic Kigali Arena, as
Nigerian Afro star Rema brought down good vibes at the all-star
game that took place on November 20.
Rema’s performance will
go down as one of the best attended and hyped music shows Kigali has seen since
the reopening of concerts, and by far the most energetic live stage that Kigali
has ever seen since the outbreak of covid-19.
Indeed, it is safe to
say that Rema’s first performance in Rwanda was a success.
Born Divine Ikubor, Rema
stepped on the stage at 9:30 pm and performed most of his hit songs, including
'Dumebi,' 'Woman', 'Beamer, 'Soundgasm' to name a few.
He performed with a
fast-rising Rwandan band dubbed The Target, together with one of the best
producers in Africa London who was his main disk jockey.
Thousands of music
lovers went crazy when Rema brought Sharon Higa, a top dancer in Kigali, to the
stage, and had a smooth ‘Soundgasm’ dance performance with her.
The 21-year-old also
performed ‘Bounce’, a song that made almost every woman at the venue bounce
and dance.
“Thank you so much
Rwanda for the energy,” Rema said to the revelers.
It was a night to
remember as thousands of music lovers partied and danced not only
to Rema, but also great performances from Mike Kayihura, Kivumbi
King, Social Mulla, The Dream Team DJs, Bull Dog and others.
“Rema has delivered as
he promised. This was one of my best nights in Kigali. From his dressing code
to the energy and vibes, he really made Kigali arena shake,” said Anick Muhoza,
an excited fan.
The ‘Corny’ star performed
almost for almost an hour and a half and by the time the show ended, the crowd
was still yearning for more.
The singer apologised to
everyone who couldn’t attend the show because tickets were sold out, and
promised to come back soon.
“I’m gonna make it up to
you guys I promise. Love you and stay raving,” Rema said.
